I am headed down to Hi next week. I recall seeing signs that fires were permitted on the beach, is this still the case?
I was planning on using 2 bags of charcoal as the fire at night for the kids.....
Thanks.

Unless the regulations have been changed, fires are permitted below the high tide line. They do patrol and enforce, usually in a pleasant manner. Their definition of high tide line would be the previous high of the last two tides (personal encounter). If you play by the rules, all is fine. Lots of fun chasing the ghost crabs around at nite for the kids! Have a great trip.
