Hey all, I'm located in Baltimore, I found a boat on-line, its located in Ocean View, Island Marine Center. Can anybody recommened a good mechanic in the area. I'd like to have the motor checked out with a diognotic, would also like to have a survey done aswell.

If you or anyone you know can help, shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
Jeff

Purchased a 35' Viking Sportfisherman about a 18 months ago in Cape May. Had Bob Duckenfield do the hull survey. Bob Palese did the engines survey. Both guys are pros. Palese works out of Ransome Engines (609-561-5267). You did not state if the engines were diesel. Ransome is a big Catapillar company.

Thanks for the reply namyrreb, its a single 225 Merc Opti. If the deal goes through I get in touch and see if they can help me out.

Thanks again....

I would use Dunk for the survey too. Given that Island Marine is a certified Opti dealer, I am sure they will make sure she is running right. For an independant look, I would call King Marine Outboard (http://www.kingmarineoutboard.com)
