Late OI Report 8-31

Decided we had a small window on Monday morning to make a run out of OI and it looked like the only chance we might get while we are down here this week. Ride out was nice so we went straight to the point. A couple miles short of our destination we saw some mahi chasing flyers so we got our lines in the water. After a short while the left long rigger pops and we get a 20-25 pound mahi. Little while later the way back gets crushed and is taking lots of line with heavy drag. by the time we got the rod down and the next man up ready it came unglued. Picked a skipjack and then decided we should run back to avoid the incoming weather. A little sloppy getting back into the inlet but not too bad. Hopefully next time we have a better weather.

John forgot to mention we also met some new friends who are down from Delaware for the week on the "AMNESIA". We ran separate but basically "buddy boated" and had a good time out together. We exchanged numbers and hope to maybe meet up again for another fun day on the water. It was great to have all the rigs and tronics all work up to snuff. Good report John and great job cooking the catch tonight.:clapping2:
