Now that the Browning Maxus has hit the stores has anyone shot one or held one yet? What do you think of them? I would like to buy a new gun this fall but cant make up my mind.

i just bought a Benelli Vinci instead of the the maxus. I had been waiting for the last 6 months for the Maxus to come out . Even though the Vinci is a 3 inch gun and the Maxus at bass pro was a 3.5 inch i still thought the Vinci was a much better gun. Fit, feel, features.

How do you like the Vinci? Do you have any major points against the Maxus or you just didn't like the feel?

I held one and shot one months ago and loved it. Outstanding gun in my mind. It points very well, swings well and is a very simple gun to break down which isn't the case with a lot of Brownings. A Browning sales rep had one and let me shoot it. They are required to buy all their demo guns for the year. Most of them get sold to cover their costs, but the rep was keeping this one he liked it so much.

That being said, if it doesn't fit you, don't buy one. Fit is extremely important to how well you will shoot a gun, so don't buy anything without making sure it fits you well.
