Well I was pondering on how to post this but here goes.
I am Capt Ryan of the Miss Rilee out of Lewes Delaware. I run a charter service and would love to get the boat moving, since there has been a really good flounder bite on and some bigger croakers showed up I would like to see this for myself.
I have a 31 foot boat out of Fishermans wharf in Lewes Delaware and can hold up to 6 people in the charter.
I am itching to get out and do some fishing. For some reason my charters slowed up a bit especially in the middle of the flounder fishing which makes me just want to get out and go by myself.
If anyone needs anymore info please contact me or visit me at

Why do you stop in December? The winter striper bite last year in January was epic. I have a hard time finding charters on the Delmarva coast that time of year when I can see diving gannets just out of reach.

I need to stop fishing do to the insurance company. I am not permitted to fish after a certain date because of there rules. I can extend the winter fishing but then I also got to update alot of safety items for fishing in those temperature. Also I just need a winter break.
April to December is long enough for me.

Would you recommend anyone in Lewes or Indian River Inlet that does striper charters in January?

Boy I am not sure who all fishes late.
Grizzly does for sure and I think Lil Angler also
head boat wise I think Fishermans wharf fishes till the new year and Ted on the Indian ( Angler Center ) does also into the new year but not sure.
If you need some more info I will try to help

Have you thought of running open boat charters. If you take reservations and money up front it would work. I would love to go out, but have trouble finding enough others to go. Try it once a week on an off day like Monday, and advertise here and on your website. A little more work, but could pay off. You could charge around $60 - $75/head

Sorry guess my math was probably off. You would have to charge $80 to 100 each. Still would be a good offer.

Well since the sea bass fishing has been closed by the pen pushers we all will be togging hard this fall and will surely put a bad hurting on this fishing industry also but we are working to solve this problem.
Otherwise I read your first post and boy if I was a larger than a 6 pack boat those numbers might of worked but to make it fly you are right it has to be higher.
I have some guys that ask me to keep them on the list for needing a person or two.
Open boats are hard to do for me because of 6 packing it.

Got to agree with Fishing Chef....an open boat one day per week especially for tog during Nov/Dec ought to work. There are some serious tog fisherman that would aprreciate a chance to work the smaller pieces.

Well stay in touch with me if you guys are interested in some togging and striper fishing.
I have plenty of open dates and since the bass is closed I lost a couple fridays because of it.
I mainly fish Friday, Saturday and Sunday and it is hard to run open boat especially since I rent from the parsons who own the head boats at Fishermans wharf.
If I get a group of guys to agree on a day and or I have a list of contacts I call them or e-mail them with an opening to see when they want to go.
It sounds like there are 2 of you interested already so if interested in me contacting you let me know.
visit my web page and e-mail me with some info or heck give me a call
