Anyone notice that since the SaltwaterSportsman issue about dolphin came out and said that people fished the balls that the potters have been keeping their gear clean and moved about once a week?

The guys who run the pot boats knew this WAY before any magazine said so...
They know people have been fishing them forever...

We loaded up off the pots a week ago the string we hit was on the south wall off the canyon it was the toots string those boys have been out there for years. The string that produced the most was the one they began pulling. We had 36 total and none of them peanuts all 4lbs or better and about 10 over 10lbs biggest 17lbs. Had a great time hadn't been alot of pressure on em. The next string they were dropping was real clean as was the string on the north wall just recently dropped.
So I guess timing helps if the string has been there awhile and the pressure has been off you can load up. If the string is new or fishing pressure is up you might get a couple peanuts at best. Just my guess

Catching doplhin off those bouys is and was no secret. You actually think anyone learned something new from that article, except maybe some non-fisherman who picked up a copy in the barbershop waiting to get his hair cut?

The hauler usally has a scrubber on it for the line but the ball has to be done by hand so it depends on the owner of the gear....either way they make good for dog days when nothing else is going on
