Anyone have a suggestion on the best available for a PC with Windows XP?
Mine has expired and before I decide to renew I'd like to look at other options.

If yours has expired, that must mean you paid for it, right? I'm not an expert on this subject but over the years I've been told that paying for anti-virus programs was a waste of money and not all that good anyway, and with all of the FREE non EXPIRING programs out there, there are some good choices to try. I have used AVG and AVAST, to mention a couple, and have never had any issues.
If you can, just try to find a non-franchise computer repair service and talk with one of the technicians and I'm sure they will more or less tell you the same and will have some good recommendations for you to check out.
That's my 2¢, it's your decision, just make sure to check ALL the options. (because they're FREE, does not mean they work any less then ones that only want your money)

Oh, and as far as spyware, Spybot has been around for quite awhile and words real well and is also FREE.

AVG anti virus works as well as anything out there. The basic program is free. I've used it for years They sell versions that do a variety of other things. But the free basic edition is really all you need.
