Would it be possablie to install a outboard engine with a 25'' shaft in stead of the 20'' that was on the boat. 1993 bayliner deck boat. would this exter 5'' cause a problem

It will work on the existing transom, but it will not be efficient and may throw too much water or roostertail,,
It would be best to raise your transom 5" if you want to install a longer shaft. I am doing the same thing on one of my boats with a new 25" shaft motor instead of a 20" and raising the transom 5"
