Andy and I where fishing in Tidewater VA on Sunday. The plan was specks and reds. First sod bank looked very promissing. As we pulled up Charlie Taylor pulled up in his Bumble Bee Bass boat and said he had caught a LGMouth on the very same point yesterday. Well perhaps the reds and specs will eat our flies. I had a deceiver in green and white tied on while Andy had a rattelback in green on. My cast net got half a cooler of these green back menhaden the day before. So I matched the hatch.. Third cast and I hook up on nice fighting fish. It runs around the boat and straight for the trolling motor.. I am thinking trout... green trout it turns out to be..

Later Andy hooks up good but the fly is tossed and fish swims off unknown. Dang...
A bit later I catch a less photogenic LGMouth..
We cruise the sod banks and the agrafish start hitting all around us. So then I see a big red mudding and lay my fly up to the right of him and he mouths it hook side out. I strip set the hook to empty water. Dang again...
A few short hits and the tide is dirty and full incoming...
Ran down to salt water about noon to find nutin.... just nutin..
It was great to fish with Andy again..
