I HAVE A JOHNSON 140 V4 IT SLAMS INTO DRIVE WHEN YOU MOVE THE CONTROL UP OR IT GRINDS AND JUMPS IN AND OUT OF GEAR THE CONTROL DOES NOT SEAM TO ABLE TO GO INTO GEAR AT LOW RPMS WONT GO TILL UP AT HIGHER RPM HOW CAN I FIX THIS ?????

Sounds like the clutch dog (and probably forward gear) need replacing. Usually caused by slow, gentle shifting, which tears up the LU innards. Shifting needs to be done briskly!
You also may have the idle too high, which also does bad things the the dog and the gear recesses. There's a remote chance it may be just a linkage adjustment, but I doubt it. If you don't have a shop manual (and the experience to use it), it sounds like a trip to a dealer may be in order.
