Anyone notice the water temps at the VB buoy went from 76 on Thur to 68 today (Fri). There is either a very nice break there or temps fell hard and fast from this front. We need an SST shot.

Mike:
Probable all stirred up... cooler water from the deep... A Sat. shot will tell the tail, but probably won't get a good one until early tomorrow...

Good Luck if you go... I'd be looking SOUTH, just in case...

I'm sure you're right. I guess 14 footers would stir things up some.

Been There Done That!!! NO MORE!!!

Hope it lays out and skies clear for a shot...

I get my boat back today, had to tear down the port motor and replace the oil pan and exhaust support plate... We tried to get by but it all had to be replaced... Another Yamaha Better Design...

I'll be on the water this afternoon for a little shake down and out and about tomorrow to be sure...

Can't wait to get her in the BLUE where she belongs...

i can personally vouch for some of those 14' waves (and then some!!) we were out there Wed & Thurs (just got in today) and it was SNOTTY, Im on a 40000Ton Displacement tanker and we took many 10-15 degree rolls.....and we hardly EVER do that. It was quite a gale, i promise. Weather out past ches light is much different than inshore right now, much colder air temps east of here, the difference from CB buoy to CH is night and day IMO.

Water was pea green WAYYYYYY out there too...........all that being said, Im thinking Sunday noonish trip into the afternoon outta LC or Rudee, I have no idea where to go or what to try for, i just wanna get lucky and catch a tuna!!!!

we went to OI last year right after a big ne blow in late sept, the water stayed cold and dirty almost all the way out to the point for a whole week....
