Yellow bellies at croaker ???

I heard today that the big spot have arrived in the york & i'm thinking about heading that way this weekend but chasing these spotted devils around is getting EXPENSIVE. Has anyone been out that can confirm this before i drag the rig to the water...........not that I mind spending my weekend floating around but if i keep putting off the chores and coming home with no fish ima gonna need a new place to live !!!!!!!!!!!!

I caught a bunch on Labor day weekend near Yorktown. I was on the Yorktown side of the River between the bridge and the weapons station.

Have they made it as far up as carters creek or are they down on butlers hole end. I'd like to go tomorrow and launch in irvington but the projected NE blow might make for a rough ride if i have to run down to the spike area.:boat:

Ryanmatt Didnt see you response until Monday. But any way went to the Rap Saturday and fished on a freinds boat named Reel Joy. We had 5 people fishing and filled up 2 coolers of nice Spot. Started of at the Spike but got BLOWN of and moved over to Butlers Hole. Moved once but ened up in about 29 ft of water and it was on. Plenty of doubles on bloodworms and fish bites. We had 2 guys from the country and they carried most of thr fish home to have a big fish fry. I havent fished down around Carters creek but I am pretty sure you could catch plenty there or just down river at the Pickle Factory/ Mooring Bouy area. Good Luck if you go. Big Dave

We came out of Wake Sat. and went over to the Pickel Factory but the water was coming over the front of the boat so we headed back to Parrot Island and dropped anchor we filled up a 72 qt. cooler lots of doubles even had 2 throw back flounders, croaker, mullet, black bass, 4 blowtoads afew trout. stiffback,#1 & #2 spot filled the cooler as we ran out of bait Life is good today for sure
