did you say a three point? Maybe 2 years old. That is some QDM there....I'm still waiting to get a quality buck to come w/in bow range. You know, 8 or more points.

Who cares!!! you guys and your QDM BS, I understand thats how you feel and hunt, but keep it to yourself. Thats your hunting principle, not everyone elses' because its yours!
You watch entirely too much, "Bucks of Tecamote" on Friday nights.
lol
Nice job!!!

That comment is a little harsh don't you think? You don't know the man, the property, the herd structure there just to name a few. He could be new to bow hunting. He may not get to hunt but a couple times a year. He could be a bow hunting veteran. Does it matter? Unless he is hunting on your land the answer is no. I used to take any buck that came by. Now I pass on nearly everything hoping they grow so I can take a trophy. Thats my choice. What is a trophy to me may not be to you and vice versa. Any deer with a bow is a trophy. You want QDM? Shoot does. We need to encourage people into the field and a comment like that really doesn't have a place here. My opinion.

I do shoot does. Let 5 bucks walk last year including a decent 6-pointer.
Johnny, sorry for being so harsh. Congrats on bagging one and hopefully you'll let the next little guy walk on by.

No need to give an explanation- venison first, bones second. Congrats, any deer with a bow is great!
But don't give up on the place too quick- sometimes some hammer bucks grow up in some tiny woodlots behind houses!

I remember when I was a kid growing up in the Norther Neck when we saw a deer track everyone would gather round and admire it because you did not see that many. Now adays the deer herd is so abundant that we take it for granted that we can wait for a deer to "Grow-Up". Enjoy it while it lasts with a more liberal season, increase in predator population (coyotes), those days may be upon us again soon.
QDMA is fine and if it is the way you hunt that's OK, don't force your religion on others.

Shoot what you are happy with! It's not all about how big the rack is.

Yotes are part of this world. Every state west of us is covered up with coyotes yet with proper Deer Management, the deer herds are at record high numbers. Our biggest treat to the herd is the Cronic Wasting Disease and some of the other nasties out there.
