need some help adjusting the carb from what i think. the motor idles find on a flusher but wouldn't idle when i took it out. any input would be great as I am new to outboards

It might be running rich then. It will run a little lean on the muffs because there is no back pressure.

If the problem recently started you'll probably need to spilt and clean the carbs. Need more detail on what's going on and how it started.

Bob, I rebuilt the carbs last year. I bought the boat last fall.

Does the engine work ok when trying to get on plane? Does it idle ok in gear and only die in neutral, or does it idle in neutral and die when put in gear? You need to readjust the low speed circuit or readjust the throttle linkage depending on when the engine stalls. Don't know enough detail to tell you which needs adjusting.
