Rubrail advice

rubrail has come out of the channel between the bow and the bow pulpit, about a foot worth. Any recommended techniques for getting it back in? Why did it come out in the first place, the occasional dock rub?

if we have the same kind ,,i worked mine in with a blunt screw driver....reason it came out, mine came that way, but i was uninformed at the time of purchase and bought a sea boss (my fault)
