Went out tonight to try a few new places and tricks... got pullage on everything I threw. Even the top-water got a few smacks (man that's cool!) Still a lot of small plastic-eating-blues marauding. Tons of bait in the main channel. Things are shaping up nicely. This cold snap should start kicking things into gear. Bring it on!!!

Don't know what is better to hear.

That the river is getting ready to bust wide open or that you are back fishing .

Jeez Lar, kind of skimpy on details there bro, don't you think?? :D

Don't you know that enquiring minds, especially this one, want to know the sexiest of details....

I too was out yesterday morning, a little further up river than we usually fish, and saw some serious promise as well.....

and it is nice to see you back in the saddle out there....well said Skip

Hey Clancy.

I only fish areas that you, E and Fisham have taught me, so you pretty much know where I was. You also know pretty much everything in my arsenal (including my super-secret weapon that you despise ;-)). And you also know that I won't catch anything worth reporting unless E is on the boat to net if for me.

So there, does that clarify it for you? :D

And as far as being back fishing... you can blame that entirely on Big E. I was well into my retirement when he pulled me back in (kinda' like Michael in the Godfather :D). Now he's got me totally hooked again (which truly is a good thing)!!! Thanks, E!

Larry - you get warmed up with Big E in the river during October - then come mid November , we'll go after some real fish.

Ahh good stuff Lar, you answered my questions....I couldn't catch a cold in the usual down river spots, sounds like maybe they turned on for ya'.....

You really need to move on from them paddlers, so uncivilized.....;-)

Oh, just great. I really need to stop reading this board before they have to pad my office.

My hope is that it really turns on just in time for the weekend.
