marine mechanic near midlothian?

I used to go to Dockside Marine in Ashland when I lived in the West End.

I moved to Midlothian. My Johnson o/b was running a little rough yesterday, and I'm about to go on vacation where I'll be using my boat every day.

I normally take the boat in once a year to get it checked out and tuned up. It's about that time.

But there are some shady folks out there.

Anyone have a good recommendation for around here?

I have a 1998 Evinrude 175 carbed. I take mine all the way to South Hill to Allens Marine. It is worth the drive to have a mechanic I trust. He has taken very good care of me.

Mike & Sandy Allen. They used to be on Lake Chesdin and then in Petersburg. When they moved to South Hill, I had to follow. Mike does all of his own work. Has been for ever (30 yrs).

I know most people would not travel that far, but I have that much faith in him.
