A friend told me that I should be able to get a refund of the "Road Use Tax" on the gasoline I purchase for my boat. Is this true? Can anybody tell me how to go about it? Do you apply through the Highway Dept or Va. Dept of Taxation? Thanks, Mike

WOW!
Anybody know if Maryland offers such a deal. Our taxes up here are crazy. I usually wait till I'm across the line to fill up.
Our Gas usually runs 10 cents higher than in VA.

No refund on road use tax here in MD.[sad] I'm paying $2.76 for 89 at my marina and can't get a cent back.

Pennsylvania, NJ and MD - the most over-taxed states in the mid-Atlantic. Left NJ 18 years ago and haven't looked back............ do miss family and friends that are 'stuck' there....... but I do not miss the cost of living.[excited][excited][excited][excited][excited][excited][excited][excited][excited][excited][excited]
