Anybody use one of these? Do you think it would work for pulling a trot line?

I'm thinking the baits on the trotline may cause problems for this one. For that price you could get one of those weekend model trotline pullers....

Looks like it would work for pots but not a line. Especially not a snood line. Here's a pic of my winder ina action. best 600 bucks I ever spent. I run 4000 feet and it is more than enough for any skiff.

NO
it is not designed to pull a baited trotline, also it is a powerwinch
I have owned at least 10 powerwinches from the smallest to the largest in the last 25 years, used them for all sizes of boats up to a 20' ,,every one of them has failed prematurely,,I will NEVER buy annother, they are just not the quality product for the amount of money that they cost.
if you really need to use a puller, the one that Bowmovements uses is
ok

I think it was advertised at like 100 to 150 feet per minute, but I usally leave the far anchor attached and let it pull the boat down the line. I never really timed it but the last time I remember my bud had to be off the water by 11 and we stated packing everything in around 10:20 ish. We had the lines, bouys, and anchors in and on the way in by 11. So I guess about 40 mins of BS time. And a lot less back pain! Did I mention I love it?
