I am heading down to Charleston over Thanksgiving. We are staying in Isle of Palms. My brother in law has a boat so was going fishing with him. However, I love to surf fish, the silence and solitude is peaceful. Is there anything to fish for this time of year or am I just getting my line wet. Suggestions would be great!! Thanks

Fishing in the surf during that time of year is not good. After the red drum run in late sept early Oct thats about it. But then again,,,,ya never know.

I am also going to the Isle of Palms for the holiday week, coming down from Charlotte NC.
I will also be trying some surf casting...maybe I will see you out there.

Any one else have any suggestions about surf fishing this time of the year?

Thanks!

Add one more to the list. Planning to be in Isle of Palms for Thanksgiving. Great minds think alike, I guess.

Not sure about Isle of palms, but in Sursfide caught flounder, trout and whiting right through Thanksgiving last year. Right now catching the same. Should be the same for the Isle of Palms, good luck.

Make sure your bait is fresh, shrimp, cut mullet. Might catch a trout or a red.
