Vic emailed me and has set October 20th as the day for this years first gill net survey. We are looking for a few volunteers to help with removing the fish from the nets once they are brought back to the boat shed in Clarksville. You must be a member of BISC to participate. If you are interested in helping out please let me know ASAP. Vic is wanting me to respond with the number of volunteers. Thanks!

Thanks, lannyp. Remember, everybody, regs change starts today to 2 keepers, 26" min.

For those of you who have volunteered; if any of you would like to take a boat ride to see where the nets are set and to help pull in the nets let me know and I will tell you where to be. If you are just going to help get the fish out of the nets you need to be at the VDGIF boat shed in Clarksville at 12:30pm. We will be leaving the boat ramps at about 10:30am. We will depart from two different ramps on the lake. We only need two volunteers to help pull in nets. Jim and Adam Beaty have already volunteered to help and that's why we only need two more so let me know ASAP.
Thanks all!
Lanny

Based on what I saw tonight, I'll bet the net set near Goat Island (if it was set where it was set two years ago) was loaded with 20" fish.

Can we get a net report?

Thanks.

I think there were 2 keeper fish out of all the nets. For a full report don't miss the November meeting. Thanks Roe!
