Where is the OI channel today?

Hi All,

I seem to be cursed by the weather, but re-making plans for OI on Sunday. Been a while since I made the passage and wondering where the channel / bridge bar might be now. The late September USCAE soundings show it pretty much a straight shot just a bit NE from the bridge. They haven't added waypoints pending the end of dredging, they say. I saw somewhere, however that between the buoys was where the channel was not.

Last Thursday we hugged the North beach on the way out and way south on the way back in.Better follow someone out.The dridge is on chan 5.
The entire channel had the pipes across it.Be careful.

Good question. Today, I found out where the channel is NOT. Dug potatoes.

OI was a mess last week, the center span of the bridge was shoaled over and it was breaking on the bar in the center span, about a foot deep, we hugged that dredge pretty tight to the north,

The operation is changing daily if not more, Follow a Big boat. I dont think anyone minds if you follow right now.

The Conditions were good yesterday,but the whole setup has the possibility to be very dangerous until completed.

We went to the south of the Dredge on thursday, But that could change at anytime.
