Which is a better boat for the Chesapeake Bay fishing for flounder, spadefish, tautog from Windmill Point to the Cell,
2005 Maycraft with 150 Yamaha or 2005 Ribolo with 150 Mercury?
Both center console.

The Robalo will be a much smoother ride because it is heavier and has a deeper deadrise. The Robalo has a better fit and finish. I would go with the Robalo if you can afford it.

never known a Robalo owner that didn't LOVE his boat. Maycraft is a different story.

What are the weaknesses of the maycraft?
Any preference Yamaha 150 vs. Suzuki 150?
Thanks.

Flatter bottom and will pound in small chop. It will be more stable (less rocking at rest) but the Robalo will get and go in rough weather with a smooth ride.

I've got a 19' cc maycraft , with a F115 Yamaha and have no complaints whatsoever,Ive had it some pretty snotty weather.I would say its a fairly wet ride in rough sea's , but what 19' cc isint?. Very happy with the boat, I run it from Solomons to the target ship without any worrys , and that F115 Yam just sips gas.
