I just bought a Pursuit 2150 with a saltwater series 200 hp yamaha. Would anyone know the high end of the tach speed it is safe to run? Tops out at 5500, and feels right at 4200.

My 1987 200 Yamaha runs well at 4700. I try not to run any higher than that, and run slower in rough seas.
Its pretty much your preference. Listen to the engine. You can hear it strain. There's a point when it humms well, and a point when it starts to whine. Keep below the whine..
