How would you do that? That's increasing the horsepower to 150% of the original rating. If you could it would be cheaper to buy a bigger engine.

It can be done on the two strokes http://www.super-chip.com/mercury-outboards.htm

who runs their OB at 7000 rpms?!?!? That's like driving 60 mph in 1st gear.

Notice how the HP drops off at 7000 rpm's.....just before it blows up.

It would still be cheaper to buy the bigger engine. 800 hours of testing does not interest me. Normal engine life should be between 2,000 and 3,000 hours with a stock engine.

Get an engine with 3,000 hours of running time like they want you to run your engine to get this horsepower and have it well documented by someone other than the people selling this stuff and it might be viable. Until then I remain a skeptic. [grin]

and the website neglected to note that "the installation of this product voids any and all warranties by the manufacturer".....
