View Full Version : Fishing Report Crabbing Effort Today 10-11-2009 W/R

Started @ 7:45 Ended @ 11:45. We caught the Low incoming tide Used 30/29 Collapsible Traps-Lost 1 trap :mad: on the first pull. Crabbing was VERY-VERY GOOD Today... No wind How sweet that was!. Managed to get a real good bushel of real nice dark Crabs & almost another nice bushel. We worked in the 6-7ft range of water Water Temperatures surface 66 & bottom 64/65 Caught a mess of 5" ones again & 28 Sooks-All thrown back of coarse and at least 3-4 dozen paper shells... to be caught next week fatter and fuller :thumbup: Most of the crabs we caught were in the 5-1/2" to 7" p/p range with a several topping the 7-1/2" mark. Today’s catch included three triplers X4 & several doubles. It was a Great Day! Can't wait till next week.

Nice work! It is tough to get that many pulling traps. I have been spoiled lately with Capt. Dale and an auto dipper on 2400'. Enjoy them...........Gary

Sweet! I too saw many whites this weekend in The Miles. Not too many females though. Water was very clear and the tide didnt seem to matter. Caught crabs regardless.
Goin next weekend again.
