Was it Donofrio or hutchenson?
Anyone who doesnt believe that recreational fishing is under attack has their head in the sand.
I am glad that VA has the Right to fish in their constitution and maryland has passed the Freedom to fish Act under Uhrlich. It is ashame our fed govt didnt pass the Freedom to fish act to protect our freedoms and traditions.

It was Donofrio and an attorney who's name I didn't get. The thing about Beck is he could give crap about fishing but he will try to protect our civil liberties

Pull your head out of the sand and quit watching the brain washing liberal media news.
He may be an entertainer but he is speaking and telling truths unlike the POTUS who has done nothing but lie to get where he is.
Everything Fox News, Glenn, Hannity and Rush have reported has come to pass...WTFU!

I am not one to throw politics in but I will tell you Glenn digs up the real $hit going on in our government right now. He even slams Republicans who are abusing power. What I like about him is he could care less if he looses sponsors, because he calls a Spade a Spade!
He seems to care about where our country is headed! Don't you?

Someone who disagrees with this administration gets attacked. Change has definitely
come. Only it's the wrong kind of change.
White House Escalates War of Words With Fox News
Anita Dunn, White House communications director, calls Fox News a "wing of the Republican Party," after the White House began using its government blog to criticize "Fox lies."

Glenn was the first one to talk about the latest ACORN circus. It took all of the others a week and half before they even mentioned it. Illegal underage prostitutes that don't pay taxes looking for free housing go to ACORN if you need help.
He also got that crazy green zar to resign. The one who agreed with the conspiracy theory that GW drove planes into the towers with a remote control.
I LOVE THIS CHANGE

When will people see the light and realize the truth about the United States government? Politicians have really lost what its all about and its scary that there is nothing to stop them.

We are headed there at an alarming rate. I for one will not become a subject or slave to our gov't. I will ban with others with like minds and fight for my freedoms or die doing it.

When Politics and policy effect our abiliity to go fishing then it should be exposed and discussed on this fourm. If things continue on the path they are on there will be no need for a fishing forum

It absolutely is about fishing. At the rate politicians are going, there is going to be nothing legal to fish for in a couple years. I enjoy reading the political stuff and think everyone has a right to discuss it and know about it, Mr. Obama lover. (Sorry I had to do it.)

When politicians use their office(s) to appoint people (such as NOAA) that have agendas and then make decisions that impact our fisheries we should discuss the impacts both today and tomorrow. The politicians would rather we not use boards like Tidal Fish for collaborative discussion, information sharing, and exposing these types of issues.

A lot of people aren't aware that NOAA is part of the Commerce Dept and has a huge conflict of interest. While they're responsible for fisheries, they are also responsible for jobs. Their job seems to be one of keeping commercial folks, from fishermen to wholesalers up to restaurants happy, but for some reason seem to forget the true impact of limiting recreational fishing. One of "our" problems is how separate we are: rivers, lakes, streams, inner coastal, bays and offshore...some fishermen are diverse, but most are only concerned with "their" fishing. CCA, RFA and others can even be parochial an not necessarily speak for the mainstream recreational folks.
A couple years ago the charter guys in Hatteras paid somebody to survey fishermen coming off of charters. They asked a series of questions about how long we stayed, how many meals and other things regarding money spent. I don't know what was ever done with the results, but this sounds like something that should be done to show the true impact of recreational fishing. I know you could come up with sales figures (and resulting taxes), but the overall monetary impact of fishing has been guesstimated, and that's about it. I would like to see the organizations come up with some numbers they can stun the politicians with...meanwhile, we all need to consider joining one of the groups - even a local one - to add strength in numbers to hand to the politicians when it comes to voting.
Okay, off my :soapbox: :D

The B.O. (stinky) white house has just made the Commerce Dept responsible  for oversight to control missle defense technoglogy trade w/ China. He (stinky) took this resposnibility away :nono: from the DOD. We will now have stinky's open-trade / trade-all lackies passing our defense secerts to who ever want it.
God :helpsmilie: America!
