FOR THOSE THAT ARE AWARE OF TRED BARTA'S SITUATION, YOU KNOW THAT THERE IS A BENEFIT FOR HIM ON OCTOBER 23RD ALONG THE EAST COAST AT 5 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS. I BUILT AND DONATED THIS SET FOR THE BENEFIT AND THEY ARE AVAILABLE FOR SILENT AUCTION AT EACH LOCATION.
I HOPE TO HEAR BACK THAT SOMEONE IN THE TIDALFISH FAMILY HAS ADOPTED THESE RODS AND GAFF AND WILL PUT THEM TO GOOD USE!!!! PLEASE MAKE THAT HAPPEN!!!!!!
TRED BARTA, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU LIKE HIM OR DON'T, DOES NOT DESERVE TO HAVE THESE ILLNESSES AND NO INDIVIDUAL ON THIS EARTH NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER DESERVES CANCER. I WOULDN'T WISH THAT ON MY WORST ENEMY. I HAVE LOST MY EX-MOTHER IN LAW, MY DEAR SWEET MOM AND MY FATHER HAS IT NOW, IN THE STOMACH. I AM CONFIDENT THAT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US KNOWS SOMEONE THAT HAS OR AT ONE TIME HAD CANCER.

I'm assuming it's for Tred......he was diagnosed with Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia, a rare type of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

RADONMAN, Thanks for the compliment. Its benefiting Tred. His insurance is insufficient to cover his chemo and associated expenses. Just an example, his house has to be turned into a handicapped house and his insurance covered $1500. Just the shair lift to go to the second floor cost almost that much. He needed another 15k in modifications to get his house livable in a wheelchair.
Im just trying to help the man out. He has a tough road ahead of him.

Are you all kidding me? This guy has had the world on a silver plater and now you want to bale him out? All of you in Web land, you do not know of people in your own community that needs help in these hard times? Poor Tred it will cost $100,00 to retro his house, the simple answer , he could move, sell his homes,boats and planes. This guy has made millions, you think he would have bought a better health plan. Hell, I've been avoiding my daughter for the past month, because I owe her money for girl scout cookie. Why not give me your money i, I have to drink 5'oclock coffee instead of Kona coffee, or to the Contender guy who just went out of business or to a local food bank, but not to some guy that had to stop renovations on his house because he fell ill, S@#t happens. I can not wait to hear the response's.

Kevin rods look awesome, you are a better man than most, I hope everyone who is free goes to this benefit, Please don't forget the tremendous amount of work, time and money Tred had donated to the Barta Boy and Girls club over the years, its unfortunate he wasn't better prepared, but that is not the issue here.

Nice rods, if I had the loot, I would bid on them. My wife thinks Tred is way to intense, can't watch em. I guess you only understand him when your as passionate about it as he is. He is a great guy, good to the kids and has helped many during his journey through life. Best wishes for his recovery.

Radonman is entitled to his opinion, and a view I am sure is shared by many, but it is a personal decision on who we decide to help in life, and I for one donated the $100 they were asking to his cause. This is about taking care of one of our own, a man who has helped promote offshore fishing and hunting, who selfishly spends a lot of money and time on our youth, and who does not have adequate insurance to cover the cost of his treatments.
Now please go pay your daughter for her cookies. Keep in mind, one day she will be asking for your credit card for something.

My dad is recent cancer survivor and even with health insurance my parents have medical bills out the ying yang. They are no means rich but would never ask for a handout from people with less then them. It's tasteless that his rich buddies are soliciting thousands of sportsmans to help a wealthy man. Go ahead bash me but it's the truth.

I do not see where I was making fun of anyone's illness. I was just making a point and stating my views, which you are unable to do, without personal attacks. Get someone to read this to you while you just point at the picture blinking. I stated ,That their are people in your own community that need your help more than Tred. And yes, he has maybe helped out some boys and girls, its call PR, Marketing and a tax right off. and it gets there parent (being you Russ) to watch his shows, buy his videos, your very own Barta bow and buy from junk his sponsers are selling. That how things work. I have gotten alot of private messeges Thanking me for my stand and telling me there stories and how they or there loved one's didn't beg for money. Now if I said I was making some Tred Barta door stops or book end, yeh then that would probably be in bad taste .:clap:( Russ the door stops and book end just sit there and don't do anything like Tred)

Radonman is going to take a break from posting, I helped in that effort. While you, Radonman, might find it funny to jerk people around on a message board, I find it a waste of my time to have to moderate you and a waste of other people's time to get them stirred up for no other reason then you are bored. How about you invest some of that idle time you have into some more productive then jerking people around.

Thanks, Brandon..I just got back from the beach to read that crap. I am not a fan of Tred, but I still think radon was WAY out of line w/ his comments. He should remember the karma is a bitch!!!!!
BTW...great looking rods Kevin. I am still looking forward to checking some out this winter for a spring up-grade
