I was really planning on a low keyed evening at home after work tonight but my neighborhood boys, Miller & Sherwood, talked me into getting out on the river. Tom had the day off and was getting cabin fever sitting around the house in the rain all day so we layered up and hit the dock. We rounded Cedar Point and realized it wasn't only cold and wet but the wind was making things extra miserable. It didn't take long and we were reeling in some nice fish. We caught 7 Rock tonight plus the biggest blue fish I have seen in the river this year. The highlight of the evening came when Miller handed me one of 2 rigs going down. It turned out to be a nice fat 24"er. I thanked Tom for the hand off and let him know he had helped me get a really good fish on the SRRKC board.

I thought I had several good pics but they aren't that clear and a few of them did not take. I'm showing 2 shots of the same fish on the measuring tape. One is a bit blurred and you can't read the marks on the tape. The other shot shows a clear shot of the tape so you see the numbers. Looking at these pictures, I see the tape is bent even though the tail is hanging over so, I'll take a 23 3/4" for the tourny.

I really need to get one of those nice measuring sticks that you boys are using. Does Angler's have them?

Mark,
We were hoping to Jig but had to troll. That was the only way to stand it out there tonight.

Good going guys. It was tough out there yesterday, but you managed to fool a few and thats what counts. I didn't know Sherwood could fish.

Burt, nice work in nasty conditions! Can you give a heads up as to your trolling technique w/ light tackle? What your setup is?
