Had visions of hungry rockfish dancing in my head all night, so once daybreak came saturday morning I was up and heading to the river.

Man, it was nastier than yesterday - colder, windier and raining a lot harder. Not sure what happened to the fish, but they were nowhere to be found. There's still a lot of bait, but all I could muster was a couple dinks within the first 15 minutes.

Tried a lot of places... even broke out the trolling gear for a few passes... nada. By 1pm I was ready to call it a day... 5 hours of those conditions was enough.

Glad to see Mark "Attml" out there, too... I wasn't the only crazy person to go out this morning :thumbup:

I love how this club gets more active as weather patterns deteriorate. Sitting home feeling like a pansy the past few days ... albeit a dry, warm pansy. I'm gonna try to get out at least one more time before this thing is over.

Great to see you on the water today!!! I just wish the fish would have made it worth our while!!! It was a nasty day on the river for sure!!! Cold wind and stinging rain!!! You know you are working too hard when you have to bail the rowboat to get out to the boat and you have to bail it again to get back to shore!! I didn't get darn thing either! I trolled, jigged and casted a bunch of areas and no takers! I was really suprised to come up completely empty after all of the productivity the last couple of days! Hopefully this is one of those cases where I am paying my dues now and will be rewarded with a lunker later!!! The SRRKC/UBBB tournament would be a good time to collect!!

I'm impressed with you boys. Sorry you didn't have any luck in this mess.

My neighborhood "Fish-Whisperer" couldn't stand it and went out this afternoon. He called to get me out but I just didn't have it in me. I'm waiting for a report from him now.

I've got Rock-Fish on the Grill and Crab Cakes in the oven.... gonna be a 5 star dinner tonight.

Went out from 11:30 to 6:30 with Gary (Bludhound) 3 fish and two keepers. Tuff day with many dead aluminum soldiers. Rod
