I have a 2005 Polar 2300 wa. yamaha 225 4-stroke. I am thinking of changing from a three blade prop to a four blade. What are the benefits to this and approx. what size should I look at? Any help would be great. thanks

A prop shop would probably be the best place to start. Tell them what you're looking to do and what you want out of your boat and they will tell you exactly what will work best. Bay propeller off Military hooked me up.

Ditto Bay Prop. If you know the diameter and pitch of what you're using now they'll be even more help. They hooked me up with a great replacement.
I think you'll get better speed and / or hole shot performance ( more push) but lower gas mileage ( dragging more surface area though the water.)

Thanks for the info. I guess I will find a local prop shop and see what they can do.
