nav lights

iam tryin to run wires to my nav lights.wen i go to hook up the wires to the battery it works fine wen switch is on the on pos.wen i turn it off it starts to spark.can someone help me with my problem

You have a ground issue. Look at the schematic for the wiring. You'll most likely find a wire to ground that you are not grounding, or, improperly grounding.
