View Full Version : Thursday at the Bar - Catching Report

Rising Tide

Left Norview about 8:00, tried a few shallow water spots (I had Wednesday intel from some friends that the rock were still active in shallow water close to shore). Nada. Went over to Windmill Bar, and found the schoolies working in 10 to 15 feet of water. They were a bit pickier than usual and a chore to keep on top of, but jigging with stingsilvers, grubs, and BAs got the occasional fish. Caught 6, and kept 2 that measured 21 and 22. Water temp was 58, and the clarity was good. For what it's worth, it seemed that the average size was bigger than in the last couple years.

Thanks for the report. It seems I went the wrong way up the river above the bridge up to Urbana on Wednesday afternoon. I was trolling and saw a lot of bait and probably stripers on the bottom. But no bites.
