I'm hoping that they're wrong too but if they're right I'll be on the river on Sunday at least! I did some trolling a couple of weeks ago and saw lots of bait but only caught a small bluefish. He took a chartreusse (sp?) stretch 25.
I tried throwing artificials and even live spot in shallower water and never got even a nibble.
We'll see how things go this weekend. The water is currently 60° at Stingray Point. I wonder if that's cool enough yet.

Caught fish at the rockpile and in the river on bucktails casting on Saturday. Sunday we stuck our heads out at Norview and got as far as the last buoy before turning back. Even I wont go in four foot swells. On the trailer she went and home early.

we did the same thing last couple of weekends, cruised the creek casting bucktails, road out past the first green marker and turned around for lunch at cocomos. beats sitting at home, had to tow my boat to the ramp anyways for some repairs.

i have been told by the owners that any slip closest to the wall w/ no lines on the pilings are for restaurant patrons/no charge. beats driving around if you are on the other side of broad ck. there's usually about 4-5 slips available.
