fuel/water separtor

With the new gas regulations being talked about I am planning to install a fuel/water separtor. I have Yamaha 115 four stoke and would like to install it out of sight but would also like to have a see thur filter. But according to the coast guard reg I can't have both. Does anyone have any suggestion on what kind to get and what size micron filter to use? And how to install it. Any help would be appreciated.

I use a Racor with about 1" clear plastic below the filter. You can readily see the fuel/water mix. I can't help any more than that, but I am sure others can if they knew what kind of boat you have so they know how the fuel line is run and can tell you where theirs is installed..
