GPS Chartplotter??

I am going to buy a GPS Chartplotter and am looking at a Lowrance Global Map 3600C and a Garmin 172C. I fish the lower bay, CBBT and the oceanside of the Eastern Shore (near Oyster) in an 18 foot Boston Whaler.
Any suggestions as to which one of these would be the better unit?
