Great question. Is anyone really catching any rock fish or is it just hit and miss? Are they still close to shore are they starting to make their run?

There are alot of small Rock scattered around the Bay, creeks, and rivers.
typically use small bait.
When they feed , plays big a part. alot of nighttime action.
Lights around bridges is first choice to hold Bait.
and they don't call them Rocks for no reason,
Bird action is is another way to find them,
Don't give up!
Hope this helps.

I caught a 20" rock this evening (about 6:15 pm) on a "Smack-it" popper surface lure. Was fishing off a rock wall between Hackets and TPL.

Hey, just out there Thurs and Dahlgren was blowin stuff up and could only fish after 5:00. Only caught two in the low 20's with a tandem rig. ????????Question:
1. While on the boat what is the best way to store an umbrella rig?
2. With an umbrella rig i have been using a 6 oz. trolling sinker. Is that necessary or too big?
3. It seems tandem rigs catch fish. Can anyone explain how to use the umbrella the right way.
thanks,
John

The Umbrtella can be used with a sinker in front of it.
it can also, be a Three-way in front with a Mojo on the bottom,
or just run in by itself,
water depth, fish depth, close to the Boat Deep, away from the boat shallow. whatever works with your spread.
