Not many fishing reports from the past few days.
I got out at the edge of dark tonight for the first time since saturday.
Saw someone (maybe a skeeter? - but too dark to be sure) working a "popular" spot - which I would have tried. :cool2:
Headed down river and pulled a few from under some dock lights around pendennis. only 22, 20, and 17 inches. One fish had lesions. Haven't seen many of those lately. Hate seein them.

Nice job Dave! I haven't had much time to fish and when I did I hit the bay on Sunday instead of the river. Glad to see somebody is catching fish though! Nice work - what were you fishing with?

My family easily caught its limit of viruses. Other than that, nothing to speak of. My goal, aside from helping the family get well, is to be well enough to fish Saturday evening. Hope the rain hasn't fouled things up too badly.

Just like a stealthy ninja, JP sneaks out there and posts a whopper! One heck of a fish. Guess I better get over to Brewer Creek...

Nice fish JP.

I heard a rumor earlier that one of my friends saw you out and about down that way. Glad to see the fish are still hanging around.

Gentlemen--

Here's a pair from today, w/ Capt. Pike smiling down on us & Rob the Leaderboard Auditor checking our veracity as he whizzed by in his Hobie:

Unfortunately for my 3-fish limit, my friend Stanley Watkins caught this 25"er, and this is its good side. It had more lesions on the other side, though they appeared to be healing over. It swam away storng. Hope it's OK. This is a bad echo from Corddry's fish under the lights. The 21"er is mine. This one might go down to the wire.

Best, JPW

BTW, the wet towel over the 21'er's eyes is a trick to calm it for measuring.

So Dr. Stan is a fishing buddy? Very cool to hear that as my wife remembers him as a great guy from his Snipe Sailing days! Nice to find brothers who have done both!

Stanley is indeed a great guy, but he has traded his Snipe racing (and socializing) for a shotgun and a fly rod (and sometimes a spinner). we might get him into the SRRKC one day.

Here's one more (21 1/2") to fill out my three. It hit a jerkbait on a swimbait hook under a dock this aft.

Also had some serious fun in mid-river jigging alongside Ex-Presidente before he left for the football game (tough day!). Nice mess of fish, but all 16-22" or so.

Great way to end Rocktober, but still lots of nice fish out there for Nov.!

Best, JPW
