Fished in OC twice this week. Both days fishing was great. 3 of us fished today and we had a blast. We had 6 over 5lb's 2 over 7 pounds. We had about 40 fish between us. We always try to release females over 5lb's :yes, but our 2 biggest were males. Here is some pics of our fish. My biggest went a lil over 8lb's

That fish is disqualified. I heard you caught it on my "POS" abu reel. I hope it didn't fall apart on you. ;-)

Obviously it was at the jetty in the inlet, is there anywhere else to fish?

Well those dang avets do not fit the reel seat of the new loomis's rods i got, I have to order the smaller reel seat. Like i said that abu can't handle tog :yes: I went back down on sunday and that abu struggled on a 5 pounder.
Anybody want to go down on wed? can t decide if I want to go rockfishing in the bay or toggin

Greg, Guido said that fish was 22" and went over 8#'s on his certified boga, that means that the ones you and I have caught that were 25 or 26 inches were a lot bigger. I'm calling shenannigans on Bahia's scale.

Yeah. Next time, I'm taking my fish to the liqour nazi to weigh. (Just don't throw the tog on the counter at her:cool:)

Assuming u have SXs...call Avet and talk to girl nice, she will send the new reel foot free...worked 4 me.

WTG on the tog! I gotta get down there myself this year. Maybe Weds. I'm off work. Still need a HO? :D
Yeah, I was upset when I got my avet and it didn't fit. I just called and asked about it and I got one for no charge.
