What do you guys use to bring your hull back to life. I need to get the green haze off of the boat. It's not too bad but I need to deal with it before it gets there.
Thanks!

I use this stuff called On/Off. It removes all those stubborn water lines. It is pretty nasty to that brown ring you get on your boat. You should probably wear gloves when you use it and don't stick your face down in it to smell it cause it'd burn your eyebrows right off and you nosehair right out.

Where do you get it and how much does it cost?

I use FSK for hull stains. Readily available at marine supply stores. DEFINITELY use gloves. The stuff works magic. I use a sponge to apply and hose off the residue.

Good Luck - Bill

FSR(fiberglass stain remover) or Y-10 is good stuff, just put it on with a rag or sponge and hose it off. On/Off is real nasty to use, it is an acid

Just remember when you use hull cleaner , it strips off your wax, I'd only use it sparingly. Putting a good coat of wax on your boat will help reduce the brown ring.

On & Off,,FSR and the other products sold by the boating stores are good. but $$$$ I used them with good sucess over the years..then someone told me about using acid toilet bowl cleaner,,works just as well,,only much cheaper..

Yep - Lysol toilet bowl cleaner - non abrasive and works in about a minute.

Be careful with ON/OFF. Its a great product to get the yellow off of a white hull but yes it takes the wax off. Also, do not let it drip on a galvanized trailer it will discolor the trailer.

What products are the best for Oxidation whereby for example a blue hull has a haze on it???? I used starbrite restorer and wax but I am not happy with the results.

Thanks in Advance...Pat

That stuff is the BOMB!.... Boat might sink tom. but it will look damn good on the way down! I would recomend it to anyone. My boat is in the water just about every other day for hours....not quite in a slip, but it's in the H2O quite a bit!

Try "Roll OFF" too.... I like it because it doesn't kill the grass or make the skin fall off of my hand.... (Although those things are fun to do also...)

Lysol is $2.69 and I wear gloves........if it kills the grass, GREAT....more time to fish and crab less time cutting grass[grin]

Use Sno-Bowl toilet cleaner. Cheap and works better than hull cleaner. less than $2 for 16 ounces at Walmart.
