I'm honestly curious about what you get out of posting all of the "whacked another one..." posts over and over and over....I see very few tips on how to help others etc...all I see are smallish cull bucks and a few nice ones lying on the ground or hanging from a beam. At least you don't waste the meat.

While some of Charlies hunting posts are more bragging, his fishing posts from the summer ESPECIALLY the ones on trolling for flounder I found very informative. As a matter of fact he had very good advice on another thread regarding the bulging of shotgun barrels from steel shot. Longtail even agreed with him.:D He has offered constructive input on his sausage as well.

Besides, what's the difference between "whacked another one" or caught another bushel in June when crabbing. Do we get tired of Skip's posts on rockfish trolling or Jumbo's Wednesday jigging reports? Hell no. If anything we look forward to them, even though utlimately they end about the same.

I don't even know him but so what if a guy wants to brag. If I were killing that many I'd be happy too.

Hey Charlie, just so people don't say all is bragging. Make your posts just like a good fishing report. Wind conditions, stand location (Oak grove, corn field, soy bean, etc), loads in the ML or weights of arrows/broadheads with draw weights , shot distance, time of day, moon phase, etc. That way people can't just say your bragging.:D

I just can't help but wonder - exactly how much meat do you need???? You kill a lot of deer and good for you but, post like "whackem and satckem", "two more eat dirt", etc, leads one to believe that you are a rogue!!!:nono::nono: I just can't help but think that this kind of mentality only fuels the fire for the PETA folks! You know as well as I do that there are lurkers out here just waiting for a chance to go to some DNR meeting or something similar and portray you, us, et al as nothing but knuckle dragging savages that only want to KILL, KILL, KILL!

You asked so I am speaking my part, you won't agree but hey such is life. I would humbly suggest that you think about your thread titles a little more carefully and provide some relevant commentary - not just LOOK WE BUSTED ANOTHER!!! Furtrhermore - who really wants to see pics of does??? A doe is a doe is a doe.

If you are happy with yourself and the way you are teaching your son to hunt then keep at it - I am not so sure that ethics and sportsmanship and conservation are in your vocabulary.

You simply appear to be a man who wants to kill everything he sees!

Thanks, Howard V.

Yeah as I said in the other post what it boils down to is I just dont care. If you were killing little bucks where I hunt I'd be one salty dude but you aren't and what you do doesn't matter to me. I commented on the other thread about longtail cause I think his original comment was constructive but then it turned into personal attacks BY THE BOTH OF YOU and no one likes that stuff. Maybe you do brag but hell that's what this is all about. Ever meet a dude that hunts or fishes as much as yourself for the first time in a bar. What does it turn into? A BRAG FEST. Who's got the best impoundments, who's got the biggest bucks with a bow, who's goose pit is on fire etc... For anyone, like myself that spends four to five afternoons/mornings on a boat, in a blind, or in a tree it is in our nature. It is what it is.

Don't know you personally but I do enjoy your posts and photos. I try not to judge others because I am far from perfect. I wish I had the balls to post some of the pictures you do. I would like to compare photo albums with you OFFLINE on some of the Rockfish!

The difference is that Skip and Jumbo don't post pics of 18.00 inch fish.

I B-Mailed Ida this year about flounder. Never met the man in my life. He told me exactly where to find them. I get there, sure enough there's the Ida Mae and in 1 drift we caught our 3 person limit of flatties. He could have steered me wrong, but he didn't.

His views on hunting and fishing might be different than others. His posts might be about bragging. However, as long as he's inside the law who are you to call him out because he brings home a couple bushels of crabs, a limit of fish, or a buck that isn't considered a trophy. If anything i get a little jealous that he gets out there so much while im at the office reading about it.....same thing with Skip, same thing with Jumbo.

Dude, rock on!!! I know guys who kill just as many deer as you do and they all seem to have one thing in common, THEY LIKE TO EAT DEER MEAT! Big bucks make good hamburger but that's about it.

I don't post on here very often, but as long as you are using the meat and feeding family and friends, go for it. Meat is meat, but maybe could let some of the smaller bucks go buy every now and then, to grow to there potential.

I enjoy all of the posts on this site including Ida Mae's. Some recent posts from him letting me know the rut is kicking where very informative and has me itching to get in a tree. I am very proud of my family (kids) and friends when they are successful and I want to tell everyone. I see the same thing in his posts. I don't know Ida Mae but would like to based on what I see on this site specifically his family values.

Please continue to share the posts with us.

When you post as much as Skip and Charlie, you become a target. There are 55,000 people on this board and they are all different. Each perceives the read in a different light. I don't think it will knock either poster off course...I certainly hope not. Each time we read a post, we process information and hopefully learn something. If some one bothers you enough , there is the ignore button.........Ahhhh technology, because our own ignore buttons don't work as well:D Keep posting guys............Gary
