I am going to Hawaii the end of march and would like some advise on booking a trip for marlin or tuna. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lou

Lou, which island are you visiting? I lived there for two years and shipped a 26' boat over there. Routinely ran off the eastern side of Honolulu in the channel and on the south side once you got out of the wind shear line of Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. The best charters and tournament boats are off the Big Island though, so if you can adjust your schedule......

Kona often offers the best shot at a big Marlin. You can find a charterboat guide at most hotels and see which boat fits your needs. If you call the boat direct - you'll save a few dollars.
The waters are often calm and the fishing grounds close so a 30 footer is fine. The bigger boats cost much more but who needs all that when you fish within sight of land.
I've fished Kona three times and loved every trip. The crews are top notch - most fish over 200 trips a year so they are good at it.
If you are not on the big Island - you can take a hopper plane. They are not that much - flight is short.
