Duck Hunting

[Rappahannock]

With ten days until opening day of the second split I am getting very excited. I will be hunting the Moratico area of the Rappahannock River the weekend after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately being up at JMU for school I have not been able to get down there and check it out. Not looking for any specific spots, I already have my own, but how has the duck population been looking and what species have yall been seeing?

down here on the lower james the dippers are starting to show up. I typically think of them to me later migraters than puddle ducks. Usuually heavy migration doesn't kick in until December though.
