easy way
planer any size---double snap swivel on the ring, and the hole, eye, or whatever it is.

main line to barrel swivel, quality swivel small enough to fit through your guides.

12 to 15 inches line, one end connect to barrel swivel crimp loop about 1 inch ; this is were one of your planer snaps goes.

the other end of your 12" line also gets a 1 inch loop to another barrel swivel.

continue on with appropriate leader from there.

so you have a main line to a barrel swivel connected to twelve inches of line to another barell swivel continued on to your 30 to 100 foot leader, your planner connects and disconnects to the loops you made connecting your two barrel swivels.

Is that confusing.

thats just to get you the idea there is other ways to do it but that is prety quick and easy there is a little stress issue in there but I wouldnt worry about it.

Yeah in reality it is quite simple. I think all sources offer good information. I learned from Marty.

Lou, I got nearly everything set up per your video. I also have a Tiagra 80w with 130lb hallow spectra loaded, but I am wondering about what kind of rod to use. Any thoughts on this? Do you think I could just use a heavy duty bent-butt standup rod with big rollers or do I need to get a custom rod for this.

Also, do you run meat like ballyhoo or some kind of lure? I have had some success with Yozuri Bonita on wahoo, but I am wondering whether I could use the same lure with this setup.
