ok so like the title says , Ive been searching for a boatel on the Potomac, I saw Best Boatyard and Garretts , But I want to fish on the Potomac, I really suck at the ramp and would really prefer not todeal with the stress. I want to store somewhere near good fishing that will put the boat in and out for me

Using a ramp and backing with a trailer just go slow and practice. Down on the Lower Potomac/Virginia side of the river, I really do not know of a marina that provides that service. I am at Port Kinsale Marina (1-804-472-2044) on the Yeocomico river (Potomac Green Buoy #9) and they have a ramp. Coles Point Plantation (1-804-472-3955) has ramp. Lewisetta Marina (1-804-529-7299)and Coan River Marina (1-804-529-6767) both on Coan river (Potomac Green buoy #7) have ramps. On the Yeocomico there is also Olverson's Lodge Creek Marina you might call (1-804-529-6868). How big is your boat? You could always put on bottom paint and put boat in slip.

You can look at Buzzards Pt Marina's boatel, they are not on the Potomac but are close. Located in Reedville which is about 18 miles further SE from Lottsburg. They are a short run to the middle bay and I personally think fishing is better here than the Potomac in the fall. I move my boat there every fall from my dock near Coles Pt because of better fishing

Their number is 804 453 3545.

if you are interested in fishing the middle part of the river, say from nanjemoy down to cobb island on the md. side --check out port tobacco marina....they have boatel services and 2 miles to the river.

thanks everyone for your responses my boat is 28' . It has bottom paint on it already just not a big fan of leaving it in the water but I guess a month or two at a time wouldnt hurt it too bad, the biggest problem I run into is dealing with the tides and having enough water on the ramps when its time to leave

Capt Billy Pipkin at Ingram Bay marina is not on the Potomac, but he has at least 2 covered slips available. He is just south of Reedville on the bay.
