H&R 20ga slug gun

Started shopping around here in Newark,De for one of those slug guns,and after looking around on the net and finding prices,I was shocked at some of the prices in the couple stores around here are these guns going for 300+ dollars for the base gun plain wood stock nothing fancy just looking for SB1024 TrackerII,I was thinking maybe 250 or less,I'am I out of line or are selling for 300 bucks,Thanks

You can buy one locally here in Chesapeake with a scope and sling for $325.00.

I think due to popularity, the price went up. I bought mine 2 years ago for $215.00 in Baltimore.

Yep, prices have definitely gone up. Kind of ironic to make an inexpensive, reliable gun and then jack the price up.

Thanks for the reply's,seem's like they have gone up quite a bit,I have a 12ga model thats about 10yrs old and paid less then 200 bucks for it back then,need to find a buddy with a FFL,Bud's gun shop is selling them for a 185 dollars,but the local gun shop wants a 100 dollars to do the transfer,oh well I guess I'll head out the door and spend the 300 bucks and just buy it today,the gun is for my 11 yr old daughter....The popularity has grown big time for these guns and well it should.

Got one about ten years ago when they first came out. 12 gauge best slugt gun I've ever shot. At the time it was cheaper then a slug barrel for my 870 super mag. I think I paid about 150+/-

I did find a ultra 20ga w/hardwood stock this afternoon for 259.00 at a small local shop,

I'm looking for the same exact gun. I checked with Dick's on Sat. and they had them for $219, but didn't have any in stock and would have to order them which would take 4-6 weeks. BPS has the ultra slug hunter (camo stock) on sale for $269 I believe.

269.00 is a good price for the syn. stock(zebra wood)they are couple 20ga for sale up here for 300-320(no tax)

there aren't any 20ga ultra slug hardwood stocks left around here,but now if your looking for a 12ga plenty of them,I put 45 rounds of Rem,Lightfield's,and Hornady sst though the gun today,I think we will stock up on the SST's..

In Md. do they do a backgound check to buy a shotgun now,I grew up in Md. back then shotguns and rifle's were exempt just had to wait a week to buy a pistol,They did one on me in De. to buy that shotgun but at least here it's a 10 min. deal no waiting for any gun..
