Docks and Boat Lifts of VA built our dock and the construction is top notch! Bill is easy to work with, very professional, and detail oriented.

I recommend giving them a call for any type of marine construction.......docks, bulkheads, boat lifts, you name it.

Thanks again Bill

Seeking advice about my pier at the mouth of Cranes Creek. I know everyone has a different opinion on how to rebuild a pier after storm damage. Mine was destoyed by Isabel and damaged again, but can be used, after Ernesto. Luckily this storm did not make it any worse. But, I have been thinking about having it repaired or rebuilt yet again. Some people say build it real high, some say build it real low. Floating docks are another option, but very expensive. Anyone who wants to chime in feel free.

hi- this is Bill with Docks and Boat Lifts of VA. my recommendation in most cases is the higher the better. higher presents a problem if you don't have a big boat, but you can add lower platforms or a small floating dock so you can get up and down from the water easier. Floating Piers are quite nice, you just have to be in a fairly well protected area. I'd be happy to come over there and see what I can do for you. please give me a call or shoot me an e-mail all listed in the top thread. thanks
