In my spread I have been pulling my 2 unbrella rigs with an 8 foot leader with 20 & 24 oz inline sinkers. I am thinking of using a 3 way swivel with the unbrellas on 8' leader and a 20 oz mojo on a 3' leader. Any body doing this with success???

yes .... I allway have a MOJO out with a 3 way. trailing something.... you need to cover the water collom... and I use 24 oz and up.... as far as Sinker vs MOJO.....you might as well have a hook down there ( sinker = no hook ) just in case a big guy is hang around on the bottom.... the only fish that I have ever caught on the mojo's are BIG

just like phishphinder said. last weekend had 4 mojos on umbrullas, and they did real good. and they have hooks unlike in lines.

I run one of each. I check the mojo more often for grass.

When I want to put the maximum amount of hooks in the water and cover different depths I pull:

2- 24-32 oz mojos with a daisy chain off the 3-way.

2- S&W big umbrellas that have 2 hooked baits on the arms and one chute trailing (I pull one with inline, one without sometimes. When the marks are deep I use inlines right in front of both of them)

2- Tandem chute rigs like 6-3 or 8-3 I put an inline in front of the smaller one to help stagger out the baits.

This puts 24 hooks in the water from the bottom up to about 15 feet. If the bite is going pretty good I swap out the daisy chains for a single chute.

Does anybody have any feedback on this spread?

Using mojo's just make sure you check your baits more often as they become a bigger target for grass and the old sea grapes:eek: Especially with the churn last week there is alot of unsettled grass and weeds drifting in the currents. Good luck and hope the bite turns on

I sometimes use a 4oz inline trailing something (storm, chicken, bucktail) just to get near the top. That produced well in Fleets Bay Monday. Like others said, I never put anything in the water that does not have a hook.

Very interresting. I think I am going to give it a try.

Question, I've pulled many a "sea grape" off of lures but I never have known exactly what kind of critter they are. Anybody have a clue?
