Is anyone up for going out tonight? I am thinking about going and fishing the dock lights in Lynhaven or back to the bridge. 348-2232

Make sure you check the weather. Strong storms are headed this way and they look like they will be here in the next few hours.
By the way, I will be headed to Owls Creek on Sun. if anyone is interested.
Be Safe

currently I am thinking sun up - but if the weather looks bad I will head out around noon-ish. If everyone else is going to show up at a specific time I will change my schedule to meet everyone.
High tide should be early morning. I will post again tomorrow once I see how mother nature and the other fisherman feel.

welcome back Ray.[smile] Was hoping to make OC myself this weekend but looks as if work is going to tie me down. 10 am and 4 pm meetings doesn't leave much of the day. Good Luck

Got out to Owl's creek as Cory and Jay were leaving. Dave caught one speckled trout on a white storm. I got skunked. VERY windy and the air temp didn't rise like I thought it might.

I was on the water from about 7am to noon. pretty windy, but the water was very clear (could see about 4 feet down) and I am starting to see more active marine life (bait fish and needle fish active). I ended up catching one small striper and an Ok bluefish.
Cory should probably change aftershave, because a loone thought Cory was the cutest thing and followed him from the creek up by motor world all the way back to the boat ramp.
Other than that I heard that 1 puppy drum was caught at the mouth of the inlet.

I guess loony birds tend to flock together. I am surprized that it did not follow me home. Do they taste like chicken?

Is the City's Dredge still working the mouth of the inlet ? Just wondering if that's got anything to do with the smelly results. My next trip is going to be elsewhere.

Dredge is gone, wind was high, and water temps were lower than normal. It will get better.
