Eased out into the fog around 7am trying to get to buoy 12 just to get the lines in until the fog thinned. I was planning on heading down river as soon as it lifted but that wasn't necessary. Within 15 minutes we began picking up fish and listening (not looking) for birds. We had the help of the radar though and caught at least 30 fish from 24"-38". Biggest was 22lbs. 10oz. Came in for some turkey around 12:00 but had a steady bite all morning. Heard of some bigger fish around buoy 10 and further down.

Catch em up!

Congrats on the :bigfish:! Glad you were able to catch them, even in the fog. Sounds like things were fast and furious.

Curious, if you'd like to share - were the fish caught on large baits or small? Everything I've caught so far has been on 4" to 6" baits.

Thanks for posting!

The big fish hit a stretch 25 and we caught several others on the stretch too. I also ran white and chartreuse umbrellas with 6" baits, no weight, and they both produced nicely. Bigger fish seemed to be on top for me.

Nice job on the stripers in the fog. Nice size fish too!

The bigger fish are showing up near the top. Time to put a parachute rig, bucktail, big storm way way way back and fight a big one without all that weight.:yes::yes:
